About The Position

JAM Industries, a leading distributor of consumer electronic goods, pro-audio equipment, and musical instruments since 1972, is seeking a Shipping - DC Lead to join their team. The role focuses on ensuring the best customer service by accurately and efficiently managing order fulfillment, receiving, storing, and maintaining warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable, and possess strong communication skills to work effectively with an offsite manager.

Requirements

Experience working in a warehouse in a leadership role.
Experienced with Microsoft Outlook/Word/Excel.
Forklift certified.
Communication – Responsiveness via teams or phone calls are vital.
Attention to Detail – Consistently process the correct part numbers with minimal mistakes.
Reliable – Consistently shows up everyday ready to work. If they need to miss work, that needs to be communicated with their supervisor.

Responsibilities

Pick, pack, label, and prepare customer orders accurately and on schedule.
Unload incoming shipments, verify packing slips against actual deliveries, and inspect for damage.
Transport and store merchandise in designated warehouse locations using pallet jacks or hand trucks.
Keep the workspace free of debris, safely dispose of waste, and maintain safety and organization.
Use barcode scanners or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track inventory movements and record logs.
