About The Position

Siemens is hiring a Shipping Coordinator I for its Electrification & Automation Business Unit, which provides energy distribution systems and solutions. The position is based in Knightdale, North Carolina, and operates on a 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. shift. The role manages shipping and logistics activities, prepares and maintains shipping documentation in SAP, and reviews performance data to improve operational efficiency. The coordinator is expected to work independently with attention to detail, follow safety rules and established processes, support continuous improvement, and collaborate constructively with colleagues and management.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience with shipping or receiving responsibilities in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with the SAP system.
Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
Legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED.
At least 3 years of experience in shipping/receiving management.
Proficiency with MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Technical training in the area of responsibility.

Responsibilities

Manage logistics operations for ground, air, and sea shipments, ensuring timely departures, clear customer communication, and resolution of complex export issues and claims.
Create shipping documents, including bills of lading and packing lists, using SAP while maintaining accuracy and database integrity.
Analyze key performance indicators and monthly reports to optimize shipment volume, profitability, and overall operational efficiency.
Perform job duties using the 6’s methodology, drive continuous improvements, and maintain a strong sense of urgency.
Work independently with little guidance, maintain attention to detail under deadlines, and uphold safety rules and established processes.
Collaborate effectively, maintain a positive attitude, accept and implement constructive criticism, and perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
