About The Position

The Shipping Clerk supports the final prescription fulfillment and shipping process, helping ensure customers receive the correct prescriptions in a timely manner and with superior customer service. This is a full-time, Monday–Friday position with scheduled hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
No pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.
Excellent time-management skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize work.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Ability to handle patient information accurately and confidentially.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Ability to stand for the full shift.

Responsibilities

Confirm prescriptions are correct by checking the patient’s name and address.
Process patient credit card payments using the POS system with attention to detail, handle money properly, and record transactions accurately.
Answer telephone calls promptly, direct them to the appropriate personnel, and escalate clinical questions to a pharmacist when required.
Box medications for shipment to maintain stability, durability, and usability; select packaging validated for the appropriate temperature range and follow pack-out steps.
Follow validated cold-chain pack-out procedures for refrigerated products.
Select the delivery or courier vendor and method according to Shipping Policy and Procedure.
Review specific delivery instructions and compare delivery and mailing addresses for accuracy.
Gather and process new customer information accurately.
Call customers who have not picked up their filled prescriptions.
Package, weigh, label, and send mail for delivery.
