About The Position

The Shipping Clerk supports shipping and receiving operations by coordinating carrier pickups, moving and organizing stock, and assisting with the shipment of finished goods and receipt of supplies and materials. The role also makes supplier pickups and deliveries using a company van, operates warehouse and wrapping equipment as needed, and maintains accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation. The position is located at 1440 Airport Rd, Gallatin, TN, and works the 3rd shift from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. The pay rate is $29.69.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 1 year of experience as a Shipping Clerk.
Qualified to operate a forklift.
Ability to operate a lift truck and prior attendance at a driver’s safety course.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Previous experience in the corrugated industry.

Responsibilities

Arrange carrier pickups specified on customer purchase orders.
Transfer stock to and from trucks and store stock orderly in the warehouse to expedite retrieval.
Support shipment of produced goods and receipt of goods and supplies used in production and storage.
Keep the work area and equipment clean and orderly, and follow safety regulations.
Make supplier pickups and deliveries of parts and raw materials using a company van.
Understand and follow instructions on factory cards.
Understand and practice correct equipment operation.
Operate wrapping equipment when necessary.
Load and unload stock on trucks.
Document materials loaded onto and removed from trucks.
Manage shipping orders, forms, inventory tags, and counts of materials received or shipped.
Assist forklift operators with workload balancing, warehouse organization, and general cleaning.
Report missing, broken, bent, or worn parts to a supervisor or maintenance.
Complete the forklift inspection form before starting a shift and when operating a new forklift.
Submit maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs.
