About The Position

We are seeking a safety minded team member with an attention to detail to join us as a Shipping Clerk on first shift (7A - 3P) in our Shipping Department in Montoursville, PA. The Shipping Clerk supports the business by providing technical and clerical services which helps meets all quality and production standards.

Requirements

Must have excellent problem solving skills
Ability to communicate with management and coworkers in order to meet departmental goals.
Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software.
Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofreading materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
High school diploma or general education degree required.
Any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Nice To Haves

Up to one year of related experience and/or training preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepares pertinent documents for shipments.
Establishes and maintains pertinent document files.
Assists in acquiring freight rates, tracing and expediting outbound freight both truck parcels.
Organize and prioritize large volumes of information.
Writes up trucks in preparation for shipment, physically pulls skid tags from staged product, records data from skids of finished goods for shipment.
Exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others and works to maintain constructive working relationships.
A commitment to company wide quality and safety is required.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Data entry within JDE.
