About The Position

This role is responsible for various shipping and receiving duties within a warehouse environment. The Shipping Clerk will manage reports from an ERP system, prepare and pack shipments, handle logistics, and maintain inventory records. The position requires attention to detail, the ability to work with changing priorities, and physical stamina for lifting and moving goods. Some overtime may be required.

Requirements

  • Previous warehouse experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Windows Operating System and Windows Office.
  • Experience with AS400 or similar MRP system knowledge is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well at all levels of the organization.
  • Motivated and able to deal with changing priorities.
  • Ability to lift and move boxes.
  • Ability to bend and stoop to wrap and band pallets for shipping.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods.
  • Must be able to lift heavy items.
  • Must be able to read and write English fluently.
  • Some overtime may be required (Monday-Saturday).
  • Forklift experience and/or certification.
  • Must be either a US citizen, lawful permanent resident ('green card' holder) or have refugee or asylee status due to ITAR and EAR compliance.

  • Experience with AS400 or similar MRP system knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Run pick/pull/pack reports from ERP system (AS400).
  • Make shipping boxes from flat stock.
  • Verify part numbers and obtain signed shipping documents.
  • Pack and seal shipping boxes, prepare for logistics, and make shipping labels.
  • Drive company vehicles with parts to logistic carrier locations; perform vendor deliveries and pick-ups.
  • Pick, pack, palletize, and stretch wrap customer orders for daily shipment.
  • Create all shipping documents for customer orders.
  • Arrange and schedule freight trucks for customer order pick-ups.
  • Invoice customer orders.
  • Perform material handling as needed for manufacturing.
  • Weigh (verify count) all product shipping to vendors and create shipping documents.
  • Weigh (verify count) all product returning from vendors.
  • Open, maintain, and receive product on purchase orders.
  • Open and maintain work orders.
  • Perform data entry for production.
  • Supply assembly department with customer box labels.
  • Receive and check in product from vendors, verifying against pack lists.
  • Load and unload trucks.
  • Receive incoming raw materials and supplies.
  • Examine incoming materials to verify completeness and accuracy in quantity against shipping documents.
  • Disassemble wooden or cardboard containers and remove materials.
  • Count, examine, weigh, and check incoming materials and supplies for damage and completeness against shipping documents.
  • Fill out reports to document shortages and damaged material received.
  • Maintain records of materials and supplies received.
  • Move goods to their corresponding destination or to storage.
