About The Position

The Seasonal Shipping Clerk pulls and packs orders submitted for shipping, with shipments ranging from one box to several pallets. The role prepares shipment paperwork and enters information into accounting and shipping systems, contacts shippers to arrange commodity pickup, and finalizes paperwork for merchandise leaving the shipping area. The clerk also tracks shipments, provides tracking numbers to Customer Service, provides shipping quotes when requested, and tracks drop shipments and adjusts service charges when the maximum shipment number has been reached.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of UPS World Ship and Fed-Ex Shipping Manager.
• Working knowledge of online shipping programs for trucking companies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft programs.
• Willingness to learn native accounting software to finalize invoices.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of foreign shipment requirements and NAFTA.

Responsibilities

• Track drop shipments and adjust service charges when the maximum shipment number has been reached.
