About The Position

A Shipping Clerk II tracks, reviews, and monitors all incoming material and supplies used in production or resale products to ensure compliance to the appropriate standards. Responsible for assuring that all materials leaving the factory have passed quality testing and records are accurate and complete before releasing products to the appropriate department(s).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

  • Good Written and verbal communication Skills.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions (SOP/Supervision).

  • Ability to learn technical concepts by reading work instructions and standard operating procedures, and completing on-the-job training.

Nice To Haves

  • One plus years of experience in shipping preferred.
  • Experience with shipping carrier systems including AES, FedEx, DHL & UPS preferred.
  • Experience with an enterprise resource planning system such as QAD is a plus.
  • Knowledge of cGMP regulations ISO 13485, 21CFR Part 820, CMDR SOR/98-282, 93/42/EEC, RDC 16 2013, MHLW MO 169 and TG(MD)R Sch3 preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Picks, packs, labels and ships customer orders, ensuring proper packaging and labeling according to product type and shipping process.
  • Obtains product orders and processes them through the enterprise resource planning (ERP) QAD system, and transfers to appropriate departments.
  • Audits shipments prior to packing to ensure that the product being shipped matches the purchase order.
  • Accurately enters information for required shipping documentation.
  • Follows department SOP’s and work instructions and adheres to customer and Argen standards.
  • Restocks inventory using a system called Kanban that prepares products for the next steps categorized by different categories including “Requested”, “In Progress” and “Done”.
  • Inputs orders into the shipping software for national and international orders for carriers including FedEx, UPS, DHL, USPS and freight shipments.
  • Accesses and pulls product orders out of the ERP system, QAD.
  • Assists in maintaining material inventory standards.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work area.
  • Cross trains in other areas to learn Supply Chain processes.
  • Ability to Pick Product, Scan Accurately, Review QAD Transactions for Accuracy.
  • Package according to requirements.
  • Process order correctly through various Shipping Software (X-Carrier etc).
  • Identify inventory Inaccuracy.
  • Process Invoicing per Due Report / Pre-Shipper.
  • Tracking of Shipments.
  • Transactions, QAD, troubleshooting ability. Root Cause.
  • Schedule shipments via carriers (DHL / FedEx etc).
  • Performs Consolidation Process (Digital Fulfillment).
  • Handles International / Equipment Shipments (DC / Oberlin).
  • Collaborates with Customer Care addressing shipping / invoice issues.
  • Communicates with Lead / Supervisor on VMI supplies / Consumables.
  • Other duties as assigned.
