About The Position

The Shipping Bander performs a variety of operational functions related to the production, inspection, and distribution of products. This role adheres to safety policies, quality standards (including ISO policies), and company work rules. The position requires maintaining good housekeeping, demonstrating positive work ethics, and following procedural instructions for each job. The Shipping Bander is responsible for performing quality assurance checks and ensuring all work meets specifications. They must be able to meet production standards and are specifically tasked with packaging high-pressure cylinders, which involves operating a banding machine, shrink wrap machine, and a fork truck. The ability to operate a computer is also required.

Requirements

Must possess an education or experience level that permits the employee to effectively communicate and perform duties, assignments and responsibilities of the job.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents relating to the job, function or assignment.
Ability to perform basic mathematical equations.
Ability to make decisions when identifying in-process problems.
Ability to deal with a variety of job assignments.
Adherence to the Quality Policy and ISO Procedural Requirements.
Ability to maintain clean work areas and follow good housekeeping practices.
Ability to follow work rules, work independently, be flexible and be willing to perform a variety of jobs.
Ability to use machinery/equipment required to accomplish a given job assignment.
Ability to work effectively, courteously and respectively with co-workers and other personnel.

Responsibilities

Perform assignments in accordance with established safety policies and procedures.
Adhere to the Quality Policy, including all items assigned in accordance with ISO policies, procedures, and work instructions.
Comply with the work rules and standards set forth in the Employee Handbook.
Maintain good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned work sites.
Display appropriate work ethics in the workplace and group settings.
Refer to work order or procedural instructions before commencing work.
Perform specified quality assurance checks.
Assure that all work assigned is performed in accordance with specifications, instructions, and requirements.
Demonstrate ability to meet production standards on specific assignments.
Package High Pressure Cylinders.
Operate banding machine.
Check off serial numbers.
Operate shrink wrap machine.
Drive the fork truck.
Ability to operate computer.
Accomplish all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested for successful completion of the mission of Norris Cylinder.
