About The Position

The Mill Bander performs tasks directly on the mill lines, similar to a Tube Bander, and is essential to efficient operation and flow. The role involves safely and accurately banding bundles of tubing coming off the mill line. This includes placing protective boards, tightening bands, installing seals, and applying identification tags to each bundle.

Requirements

• Basic math skills for accurate tagging and measurement
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated and dependable with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 40lbs
• Standing, walking, and performing physical tasks for extended periods
• Must wear required PPE and follow all safety procedures

Responsibilities

• Securely band tubing bundles to specification
• Place protective boards around bundles before banding
• Cut banding to length and install seals
• Complete and apply accurate bundle tags
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, including use of squeegee to clear water from floors
• Assist in mill changeover procedures
• Separate, carry, and organize boards used during the bundling process
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
