About The Position
The role of the Burner Bander includes ensuring a safe work environment, performing daily crane inspections, taking appropriate tests off of coils as required, assisting in mill maintenance, and accurately filling out paperwork legibly and completely. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months of Hot Rolling experience
- Ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Responsibilities
- Ensure safe work environment for their self and their coworkers
- Perform daily crane inspections
- Take appropriate tests off of coils as required
- Assist in mill maintenance
- Accurately fill out paperwork legibly and complete
