About The Position

The Shipping Associate Lead is Shipping’s senior hands-on employee and primary backup for daily team leadership. The Lead helps direct work, train associates, and maintain order accuracy, packaging efficiency, and carrier pickup deadlines. When the Shipping Supervisor is unavailable, including during extended absences, the Lead takes over operational supervision. The Supervisor is the primary specialized dock backup, and equipment work requires actual qualification. The Lead does not have hiring or termination authority. The role combines assigned shipping work with team support. The Lead performs verification, packing, labeling, and staging; communicates priorities; helps resolve routine workflow and order issues; and escalates concerns that exceed their authority or threaten shipping requirements. The Lead also develops large-pack and equipment skills through assigned cross-training. This is a full-time position based in a warehouse setting in Romeo, Michigan, paying $20 per hour.
