About The Position

The Lead, Pick and Pull operator performs order picking according to specifications and prepares products for shipment. Reporting to the department supervisor, the packaging lead safely operates and controls equipment and instrumentation in the assigned manufacturing unit, monitors and maintains process equipment, and helps maintain safety and housekeeping in operating areas. The role also involves processing raw materials through chemical reactions and manufacturing operations to produce finished products at the specified quality level. The lead directs and coordinates day-to-day shift operations and assigned employees to support smooth packaging-line operations, follows Responsible Care principles and applicable requirements, and performs additional work as assigned by a supervisor or manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed to support continuous operations and meet business obligations.
• Strong commitment to safety.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• Manufacturing experience.
• Forklift experience, or willingness to be trained for certification.
• Previous experience in a chemical manufacturing or industrial facility, formulations, and/or packaging.

Responsibilities

• Pick orders according to specifications and prepare products for shipment.

• Maintain and improve safety and housekeeping in operating areas.
• Receive and process raw materials using chemical reactions and manufacturing operations to produce finished products at the specified quality level.
• Support Responsible Care principles and applicable requirements to protect the environment and assure the health, safety, and security of employees, vendors, customers, suppliers, and the community.
• Lead day-to-day shift operations of the packaging line in a professional and organized manner.
• Lead, direct, and coordinate assignments and activities of assigned employees to ensure smooth process operations.
• Perform additional work as assigned by a supervisor or manager.
