About The Position

The Shipping and Receiving Supervisor oversees shipping operations and team members at Trulite’s Dallas, North Carolina location. This role trains, mentors, and develops employees; organizes and directs work; and helps maintain accurate, efficient operations in changing business environments. The supervisor communicates with other departments, leadership, customers, and human resources while handling employee feedback, performance, recognition, and workplace concerns. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 6:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. or until loading is complete. Shifts may last 10–12 hours, with Friday nights usually the busiest and around 12 hours.

Requirements

• Five years of experience in the transportation of goods and materials.
• Three to five years of management experience.
• Ability to work 10–12-hour shifts on your feet, Monday through Friday; Friday nights are usually around 12 hours.
• Ability to work in heat and cold.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Axapta, Geotab Fleet Management System, and routing software or tools.

Nice To Haves

• Glass industry experience preferred.
• CDL license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and conduct training for new team members.
• Provide feedback and development for the team.
• Mentor and coach employees individually and as a group.
• Adapt to changing business environments and departmental needs.
• Maintain interdepartmental, general business, and customer communication and confidentiality.
• Perform supervisory duties in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
• Plan, assign, and direct work; conduct performance appraisals; and recognize, reward, and discipline employees.
• Partner with the leadership team and human resources to address complaints and resolve problems.
• Manage responsibilities with organization, efficiency, accuracy, accountability, and the ability to multitask.
