About The Position

Responsible for accepting, inspecting, stocking, and transferring deliveries. This role involves understanding and following safety procedures, operating a computer system for shipping and receiving information, and assisting in maintaining equipment. The coordinator will verify and keep records of incoming and outgoing shipments, prepare items for shipment, and handle the unloading of materials. They will also examine incoming shipments for damages or shortages, communicate with relevant departments regarding discrepancies, and ensure received materials are correctly located and marked. Additionally, the role includes delivering raw materials and finished goods, pulling inventory for orders, packing items, determining shipment methods, and issuing shipping labels. The coordinator will also photograph outgoing shipments, assist with inventory counts, and maintain organization and cleanliness in warehouses. There is a possibility of handling hazardous materials.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or GED
  • Basic computer skills, i.e. Outlook
  • Must be able to stand and walk continuously throughout an 8-hour shift or longer.
  • Must be able to climb, bend, stoop, lift, carry, and push objects weighing up to 100 Lbs.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) like glasses, gloves, belts, and shoes.

Responsibilities

  • Accepting, inspecting, stocking, and transferring deliveries.
  • Understanding and following safety procedures.
  • Following verbal and written instructions.
  • Operating a computer to issue shipping and receiving information into Epicor 10 Software System and replying to emails from sales and purchasing.
  • Assisting in maintaining equipment such as forklifts.
  • Verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments and preparing items for shipment.
  • Comparing identifying information and counts, weighs, and/or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information from the pick list, pack slip and to the bill of lading or other records.
  • Shipping, receiving, and unloading material manually or with equipment such as a forklift or pallet jack.
  • Examining incoming shipments against pack slips for damaged goods or shortages.
  • Communicating with Purchasing and AR before rejecting any damages or shortages.
  • Ensuring received material is put in the correct location and properly marked.
  • Delivering and retrieving raw material and finished goods to and from workstations.
  • Pulling inventory for orders and packing boxes, pallets, and crates.
  • Determining method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
  • Issuing shipping labels on packed cartons or tags crates, pallets, or boxes with all required markings.
  • Examining and photographing outgoing shipments along with keeping a file of all photographs.
  • Assisting others in preparing outgoing and receiving incoming shipments.
  • Receiving, storing, and shipping hazardous material.
  • Assisting in physical inventories for both cycle counting and year-end inventory.
  • Assisting in maintaining organization and cleanliness in all warehouses.
