This position is responsible for maintaining the sorter operation, managing product deliveries, stocking drugs, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring the accurate packing and shipping of pharmacy products. Responsibilities
- Maintains sorter operation by removing full totes from the sorter tote location, replenishing empty totes, scanning tote and location with a handheld scanner, and rearranging individual units in totes.
- Manages product deliveries by preparing, reviewing, and verifying receiving documentation and reports, processing, counting, separating, and scanning product, operating computer software, unloading product from trailer manually or with powered equipment, organizing inventory, transferring them to production stations, and maintaining records, logs, and forms.
- Stocks drugs by using box cutters and knives to open boxes, monitoring product size and making adjustments, labeling, scanning, and sorting drug types, transporting drugs and placing them in their designated locations, storing excess drugs on overstock shelves or racks, and driving a forklift to transport skid items.
- Maintains quality, accuracy, and integrity of inventory and packages by removing damaged or expired product, identifying and resolving discrepancies, informing management about incorrect or inefficient processes, and providing basic maintenance to equipment.
- Ensures accurate packing and shipping of pharmacy products by packing prescriptions, scanning the leaflet and medication, placing the package on a conveyor, packing temperature-sensitive medication according to drug specifications, ensuring needed supplies are included, stocking workstations, processing and labeling shipments using approved carrier software and equipment, and completing and verifying paperwork for pickup and delivery.
- Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and applying these in executing business processes and practices.
