This role also involves organizing, sorting, and transferring goods between locations. The clerk will monitor packages from start to finish, ensuring proper handling techniques are used. They may operate a lift truck or use a hand truck to move shipments. Responsibilities include unloading trucks and delivery receivables, maintaining an accurate log of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately. This position provides additional backup support for the shipping and receiving department and is governed by state and federal laws and agency policy.
