About The Position

Creative Safety Supply is hiring a Shipping and Receiving Clerk I to support warehouse operations. The role ensures client orders are shipped accurately, incoming goods are verified, and inventory and shipping records are maintained. The clerk receives goods, checks counts and quality, verifies items being shipped, updates shipment data, prepares shipping documents, and loads and unloads trucks. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and is performed in the office at the warehouse; it is not eligible for remote work. Pay is $18.00–$21.00 per hour, depending on experience. The position reports to the Warehouse Manager and is classified as non-exempt and hourly.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One to two years of warehouse or shipping/receiving experience preferred.
• Basic English and strong communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and stay organized.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate warehouse equipment.
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods and move around the warehouse.
• Ability to operate heavy machinery as needed.

Responsibilities

• Receive goods and verify counts and quality; promptly report discrepancies.
• Verify and record all items loaded for shipment.
• Maintain accurate shipping records, including records for returns and dunnage.
• Verify packaged items before shipping them to customers.
• Update shipment data to support order accuracy and billing.
• Prepare bills of lading and shipping tickets.
• Load and unload trucks using hand trucks and carts.
• Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
