Shipper - 9:30am-6pm
About The Position
The Shipper boxes and processes Pick Suggestions while maintaining a high degree of accuracy, efficiency, and quality. The role uses UPS and FedEx shipping software, follows shipping and special instructions, and ensures that work instructions and processes are met. The Shipper reads and completes Shipping Department documentation in accordance with PEI-Genesis, ISO 9001, and AS9100 standards, and maintains a clean, orderly work area using 5S principles. The position is based in an environmentally controlled, extremely clean, state-of-the-art facility in South Bend, Indiana. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Requirements
- Prior boxing and order-processing experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math and counting skills.
- Basic ability to read and interpret Pick Suggestions and Work Orders.
- Basic computer skills, including use of UPS WorldShip and FedEx software.
- Detail-oriented and quality-focused, with a strong emphasis on accuracy.
- Self-motivated and able to work as a team player.
- Receptive to cross-training in other areas of Shipping.
- Able to strive toward established boxing metrics.
- Basic understanding of PEI Quality Policy, FOD, and AS9100 overview.
- Basic understanding of FIFO (First In, First Out) practices.
- Knowledge of product identification and lot traceability as they relate to boxing and processing orders.
- Able to achieve the effective level in the primary position as defined in the Shipping Skills Matrix.
- Able to manually lift up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 70 pounds occasionally with assistance.
- Able to perform repetitive detailed hand work and sit or stand for 8 or more hours.
- Able to reach overhead, with or without the aid of a ladder or step stool, and grip or grasp for at least 8 hours of the day.

- High school diploma or high school equivalency, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience demonstrating the ability to perform the duties.
Responsibilities
- Process Pick Suggestions using UPS and FedEx shipping software.
- Box parts according to shipping instructions and any special instructions.
- Follow work instructions and ensure required processes are met.

- Maintain a clean and orderly work area using 5S principles.
- Assist in training new employees in the core skills of the primary position.
