About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is hiring a Shipper/Receiver at its new facility on Innovation Loop in Youngsville, North Carolina. The position pays $19 per hour, with core hours from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The Shipper/Receiver provides manufacturing and logistics support by sorting, verifying, recording, and routing incoming and outgoing shipments.

Requirements

At least two years of experience in a logistics or warehouse environment, including order selection, packing, and receiving.
High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now or in the future.
Use good judgment when handling material, with a focus on safety.
Ability to work daily and/or weekend overtime and willingness to flex to different areas or local plants as needed.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Ability to stand for extended periods; repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting are inherent to the position.
Willingness to become certified to operate forklifts.
Candidates generally must live within 50 miles of the work location; active-duty military candidates are exempt from this geographic limitation.

Nice To Haves

Experience with SAP or a warehouse management system.
Basic understanding of Microsoft applications.

Responsibilities

Maintain quality standards, perform instructed quality checks, and seek ways to improve job functions.
Operate handheld RF units to locate, move, and allocate material.
Use SAP to process incoming and outgoing freight.
Prepare items for shipment by assembling containers, recording weights, and affixing postage and paperwork.
Coordinate with the shipping office, customer service, drivers, and carriers to ensure proper delivery.
Coordinate emergency shipments and requests during non-work hours.
Report irregularities and equipment malfunctions.
Drive and maintain forklifts, complete daily inspection checklists, and perform 5S+ housekeeping duties as needed.
