Forklift Driver - 2nd shift
About The Position
The Shipper Loader works at International Paper’s Lexington Box Facility in Lexington, South Carolina. This hourly, full-time position is scheduled from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. The role requires operating a sit-down propane forklift and using an RF scanner to move, store, load, and unload units. The employee also tallies and records items and defects, performs housekeeping to meet AIB standards, and conducts daily forklift safety checks. The listed pay is $20.91 per hour during the probationary period, increasing up to $26.84 per hour. Sign-on bonuses of $500 are offered after 30 days and another $500 after six months.
Requirements
- Certified forklift driver.
- At least 2 years of sit-down propane forklift experience using an RF scanner.
- Basic shop math skills.
- Ability to accurately read and record figures.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member.
- Ability to read a tape measure.
Responsibilities
- Unload units from the production line and store them in designated warehouse locations.
- Load and unload trailers as required.
- Compute and record totals of tallied figures on appropriate forms.
- Examine and sort tallied items.
- Record the number and type of defects for quality-control purposes.
- Count units and kits and compute totals; issue receipts.
- Move tallied items to storage, shipping, or production areas.
- Perform daily housekeeping tasks to ensure AIB standards are met.
- Perform daily safety checks on forklifts.
- Follow all safety rules and practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
