About The Position

This role involves performing torch cutting operations on vessels for removal and dismantling. The job includes tasks such as cutting outlines, rigging points, and removing various components like masts, posts, boilers, engines, and hatch covers. The position requires working in diverse conditions, including overtime, confined spaces, heights, and varying weather temperatures. Physical demands are moderate to heavy, with a focus on work capacity related to torch cutting and specific hand movements.

Requirements

• Proficiency with Oxy-fuel Torch Cutting equipment.
• Ability to use mechanics tools.
• Work Capacity: Torch Cutter Work Capacity.
• Sensory Demands: Hearing, vision, touch, smell and taste.
• Hand Movements: Repetitive motions, gripping.

Responsibilities

• Torch cut outlines of a 15x 10 ft piece from vessel for removal.
• Torch cut rigging points for crane to connect to piece.
• Rig piece to be detached from vessel.
• Removing mast, posts, boilers, engines, hatch covers, etc. by torch cutting and rigging.
