About The Position

Responsible for the management and supervision of personnel, production, work regulations, and quality. This role involves implementing cost management strictly and improving production output and quality effectively. The Shift Supervisor reports to the Lead Supervisor and is responsible for organizing and planning production based on orders, ensuring plant safety, managing production quality and cost, and conducting pre-shift meetings to report on production, quality, and work regulation issues. The position also involves solving production issues, coordinating work, assisting with stocktaking and bonus management, supervising pre-production preparations, monitoring work regulations, quality, and safety, and ensuring operators follow instructions. Additionally, the role includes preparing and evaluating training, collecting and analyzing shift production data, implementing 5S and visionary management, managing quality documents and records, supervising equipment and tools, verifying production report accuracy, identifying workplace hazards, implementing the comprehensive management system, and managing waste sorting and storage. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers, leadership and customers.
  • 1 year manufacturing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Regularly required to stand for long periods.
  • Duties include turning at the waist, reaching, bending, squatting and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to pass static strength requirements (grip).
  • Visual acuity including: NEAR ACUITY, FAR ACUITY, DEPTH PERCEPTION, COLOR VISION, FIELD OF VISION.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with manufacturing software.
  • Maintain a professional courteous demeanor.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be punctual, pleasant, and tactful with professional appearance and conduct.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting critical deadlines.
  • Knowledgeable and understanding of organizational policies, procedures, standards, and systems.
  • Ability to operate a computer and use mathematic skills to interpret production data.
  • Master critical skills across workshop processes to provide immediate coverage for guarantee continuous line operation.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and plan production based on production orders.
  • Ensure plant safety, including personal safety, production safety, equipment safety, and environmental sanitation.
  • Manage and control production quality and cost KPIs to fulfill company requests.
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings to report production, quality, and work regulation issues.
  • Solve production issues and organize personnel to address problems.
  • Coordinate work and assist with plant stocktaking and bonus management.
  • Supervise preparation of each position before production, monitor work regulations, quality, and safety.
  • Ensure operators work according to 3 operation instructions.
  • Prepare initial training, formal training, and multi-positions training, and follow up on implementation evaluation.
  • Collect shift production data and analyze shift production and quality status.
  • Implement 5S and visionary management on-site, keeping a safe and clean environment.
  • Follow instructions in the emergency plan in case of emergency.
  • Manage quality documents and records, and manage and supervise equipment and tools.
  • Double-check the accuracy of production report preparation and import to the system.
  • Ensure responsible warehouse materials quantities match system records.
  • Identify workplace environment factors, hazard resources, and control methods.
  • Strictly implement the regulations of the comprehensive management system.
  • Take care of sorting and storage of own waste.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
