About The Position

The Shift Supervisor directly supervises the daily operations of the outlet, which may include Beverage, Infinity, Cove, or the Den. The supervisor ensures quality standards are maintained, coordinates staff efforts and duties, reports situations and updates to the manager, and ensures compliance with safety and health regulations.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent and the ability to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language or languages used by guests who typically visit the work location. The role involves standing and being mobile for periods of up to four hours, frequently lifting 10 pounds and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, and working at least 40 hours per week. Reasonable accommodations will be made if needed.

Potential hazards include back strain, high noise levels, exposure to cigarette smoke, and crowds.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language or languages used by guests who typically visit the work location.
• Ability to stand and remain mobile for periods of up to four hours.
• Ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Stamina to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Effective verbal communication, strong math, and excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the dining room and kitchen to meet quality assurance and service standards.
• Frequently checks that dining room equipment is maintained.
• Inspects the dining room to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Directs the hiring, assignment, training, and termination of personnel.
• Keeps weekly accounts of employee hours to help control labor costs.
• Investigates and resolves food quality and service complaints.
• Assists the manager with all aspects of running the department.
