About The Position

This role is for an Associate Manufacturing Supervisor (Swing) who will model SEL Values and Leadership characteristics, provide clear direction to their work group to meet department production objectives, and understand upstream and downstream work areas for accurate communication and product flow. The supervisor will monitor employee performance, provide feedback, empower, mentor, coach, write and deliver performance reviews, and assist employees in setting goals. They will also be responsible for assessing employee training needs and providing/overseeing training, addressing personnel issues, and settling differences equitably. Additionally, the role involves creating, updating, and ensuring control of area work instructions and reports, utilizing root cause and continuous improvement tools for quality issues, and promoting safety standards and initiatives. The supervisor will model, teach, and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles, with a focus on 'Understand. Create. Simplify.' Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

2+ years of leadership experience
Demonstrated ability to model SEL Values to others
Ability to communicate professionally, respectfully and openly to a diverse audience.
Ability to prioritize, organize and delegate work; intervene to remove obstacles as needed.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and product flow for up and downstream areas.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and department's business systems (Lotus Notes, Dynamics AX, SQS, etc.)
Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Background check results satisfactory to SEL
Negative drug test result(s)

Nice To Haves

College degree (BS or BA)
Supervisory experience or training
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and department's business systems (Lotus Notes, Dynamics AX, SQS, etc.)
