About The Position

This role is responsible for overseeing department indicators and providing clear direction to meet production objectives. The Manufacturing Supervisor will ensure accurate communication and appropriate product flow by understanding upstream and downstream departments. Key responsibilities include monitoring employee performance, providing feedback, mentoring, coaching, conducting performance reviews, and assisting employees with goal setting. The supervisor will drive employee engagement, communicate change effectively, assess training needs, and oversee employee development. They will also address personnel issues, settle differences, and maintain department work instructions and reports. Input into staffing and capital needs will be provided through data collection and reporting. Promoting safety standards and assisting in safety initiatives are crucial. The role involves modeling and teaching SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated ability to model SEL Values to others
  • Proven ability to communicate professionally, respectfully and openly to a diverse audience.
  • Proven ability to prioritize, organize and delegate work; intervene to remove obstacles as needed.
  • Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes and product flow for up and downstream departments.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and department's business systems (Lotus Notes, Dynamics AX, SQS, etc.)
  • Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
  • Background check results satisfactory to SEL
  • Negative drug test result(s)

Nice To Haves

  • College degree (BS or BA)
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and department's business systems (Lotus Notes, Dynamics AX, SQS, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Create, update and ensure control of department work instructions and reports.
  • Provide input into staffing and capital needs through the collection and reporting of data.
  • Promote safety standards to others and assist in implementing safety initiatives.
  • Model, teach, and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
  • Other duties as assigned.
