About The Position

The Shift Supervisor leads with craft and heart to make the coffeehouse a welcoming space for the community. The role includes directing and coordinating other employees, preparing and coaching the preparation of food and beverages to standard recipes or customized customer requests, and meeting store operating policies and standards. The position calls for consistent attendance, customer interaction, effective communication, and the ability to work as part of a team.

Requirements

Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Be available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
Have at least six months of experience in a position requiring constant interaction with and fulfillment of customer requests.
Have at least six months of experience delegating tasks to other employees and/or coordinating the tasks of two or more employees.
Ability to direct the work of others.
Ability to learn quickly.
Effective oral communication skills.
Knowledge of the retail environment.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to build relationships.

Responsibilities

Direct and coordinate the work and tasks of other employees.
Prepare and coach the preparation of food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for customers, including recipe changes such as temperature, ingredient quantities, or substitutions.
Meet store operating policies and standards for beverage and food quality, cash handling, and store safety and security.
Provide customer service and fulfill customer requests.
