PANDA EXPRESS SHIFT SUPERVISOR (FULL TIME)
About The Position
The Shift Supervisor directs associates’ activities during an assigned shift and oversees completion of job expectations while ensuring that policies and procedures are maintained. The role includes training associates, creating work schedules, evaluating performance, preparing production or sales reports, and ensuring the unit meets quality, productivity, and safety expectations. The supervisor also serves as a contact for employee complaints and time-off requests, and may mentor and develop employees. This is a full-time position at Panda Express at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. The schedule is full-time, with open availability preferred; hours and days may vary. The fixed pay rate is $26.50 per hour. Because the position serves an educational facility, work may be reduced or paused during school breaks, possibly resulting in unpaid temporary layoffs; business needs may also require year-round work or work at another location during breaks.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of supervisor experience in a food service setting.

Responsibilities

- Provide training and create work schedules.
- Evaluate workers’ performance, reward high performers, and discipline employees who fail to meet reasonable work-performance standards.
- Prepare production or sales reports for management.
- Ensure the unit meets expectations for quality, productivity, and safety.
- Act as the contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.
- May mentor and develop employees and encourage them to set goals and pursue advancement within the organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
