About The Position

Goodwill of Colorado is seeking a Shift Supervisor to provide day-to-day, tactical, and practical leadership of associates and teams across the retail center. The supervisor monitors the center and addresses immediate matters involving safety, customer service, product flow, and store appearance, either directly or by delegating tasks. The role also supports opening and closing, sales reporting and cash handling, inventory, employee coaching, and customer complaint resolution. The supervisor maintains broad knowledge of store procedures and may fill in for other roles or help maintain operations when a manager or assistant manager is not on site. The position is full-time and requires open availability, including evenings and weekends. Store hours are 9 a.m.–9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m.–8 p.m. Sunday; shifts may begin as early as 7 a.m. and end as late as 10 p.m. Occasional overtime may be necessary. The position pays $20.88 per hour and was posted through Thursday, October 22, 2026. Applicants must attach a resume to be considered.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
• Two years of retail experience is desired.
• Familiarity with product pricing, trends, fashions, and seasonal changes.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and electronically with customers, managers, supervisors, staff, and peers.
• Ability to obtain certification in all employee positions by completing On the Job (OJT) documentation.
• Ability to obtain walkie stacker and/or forklift certification and operate equipment safely.
• Ability to solve problems quickly and make decisions.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow company policies and procedures.
• Proficiency with office equipment, office software such as Word and Excel, web-based applications such as UKG, and corporate email and calendars such as Outlook.
• Ability to withstand prolonged standing, bending, and lifting for up to eight hours per day.
• Ability to work a varied schedule that includes weekends, evenings, and holidays, with occasional overtime as necessary.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, including lifting and carrying items of varying weights and performing the listed movements and tasks.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the retail center and address immediate issues involving safety, customer focus, product flow, and aesthetics, personally or through delegation.
• Manage employee breaks and redirect staff or work teams to address call-offs.
• Coach employees verbally and issue initial write-ups; provide input for performance reviews and terminations.
• Facilitate employee purchases.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures.
• Verify daily sales report paperwork, count cash drawers, and make change between drawers and the safe.
• Assist with inventory by counting, entering, and verifying items.
• Plan, coordinate, and control customer-service team activities to maintain customer relationships and meet organizational and operational objectives.
• Serve as the first escalation point for customer complaints.
• Serve as the point of contact for turning down donations at Attended Donation Centers (ADC).
• Maintain generalist-level knowledge of store procedures and fill in during emergencies.
• Ensure E-Commerce products are processed accurately and moved efficiently to E-Commerce.
• Use and obtain certification on equipment and tools to move and store donated products.
• Maintain sufficient operational knowledge to support store operations when no Assistant Manager or Manager is on the premises.
• Perform additional duties as required.
