About The Position

As a Shift Supervisor, you will lead with craft and heart to help make the coffeehouse a warm, welcoming space for the community. You will support the preparation of food and beverages to Starbucks standards or customized to customers’ requests, and direct or coordinate the work of other employees. The role requires customer service experience, consistent attendance, and availability for flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays.

Requirements

Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Meet store operating policies and standards, including quality beverage and food products, cash handling, and store safety and security, with or without reasonable accommodations.
At least six months of experience in a position requiring constant interaction with customers and fulfillment of their requests.
At least six months of experience delegating tasks to other employees and/or coordinating the tasks of two or more employees.
Ability to direct the work of others.
Ability to learn quickly.
Effective oral communication skills.
Knowledge of the retail environment.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to build relationships.

Responsibilities

Prepare and coach the preparation of food and beverages according to standard recipes or customized customer requests, including changes to temperature, ingredient quantities, or substitutions.
Direct others’ work and delegate tasks to employees or coordinate the tasks of two or more employees.
Meet store operating policies and standards, including quality, cash handling, and store safety and security.
Provide customer service and fulfill customer requests.
