About The Position

The Shift Supervisor provides hands-on leadership at the company’s Calhoun, Georgia manufacturing facility, coordinating people, processes, and equipment to help the shift meet daily production and quality goals safely and efficiently. The role supervises and coaches operators, coordinates shift start-up and handoffs, monitors workflow and performance, addresses throughput or quality issues, supports continuous improvement, and communicates status, metrics, and needs to leadership.

The position is for the second shift, scheduled from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with overtime as needed. The supervisor reviews prior-shift notes and priorities, leads a team kickoff, monitors production on the floor, checks staffing and materials against the schedule, documents key events, communicates with maintenance and leadership, adjusts workload as conditions change, and ensures a clear handoff to the next crew.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of management or supervisor experience in manufacturing.
• Mechanical experience, including troubleshooting and equipment awareness.
• Team-building and performance-coaching experience.
• Continuous improvement experience.
• Plastic injection molding experience.
• Processing experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coach production operators.
• Coordinate shift start-up, team kickoff, and handoffs.
• Monitor workflow and performance against production targets.
• Ensure materials and staffing align with the production schedule.
• Address issues affecting throughput, quality, or downtime.
• Support continuous improvement activities.
• Document key shift events and ensure updates are reflected in tracking tools.
• Communicate shift status, metrics, and needs to leadership and maintenance.
• Rebalance workload and recognize strong performance.
• Provide a clear, actionable handoff to the next crew.
