About The Position

The Shift Supervisor - Surveillance is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the surveillance shift, ensuring adherence to regulations and company policies. This role involves monitoring casino activities, documenting incidents, and training surveillance staff. The position requires a strong understanding of CCTV systems, regulatory requirements, and effective leadership skills to manage a team and promote positive public relations. The work environment is diverse, fast-paced, and requires the ability to coordinate multiple projects and adapt to last-minute changes.

Requirements

Must adhere to the regulations set forth in N.J.A.C. 13:69D-1.10 and 1.11.
Must sign an acknowledgement of these regulatory requirements prior to being employed in the Surveillance Department.
Ability to monitor all casino operations via CCTV system for criminal activity and/or violations of NJ regulations and company policies.
Ability to record and document activities and report to appropriate officials.
Ability to monitor property alarms and communicate effectively with responding parties.
Ability to complete detailed incident reports and daily logs.
Ability to train and mentor surveillance staff.
Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
Ability to keep team informed of property promotions and events.
Ability to address employee performance issues, coach for improvement, and provide ongoing feedback.
Ability to listen and respond to employees, recognize and reward individual and team performance.
Ability to follow company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
Ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
Ability to complete performance reviews timely.
Ability to supervise and train Surveillance Officers according to standard operating procedures.
Ability to observe and record any irregular activities as required.
Ability to recommend policy changes to the Surveillance Manager.
Ability to complete special assignments for upper management as requested.

Responsibilities

May perform duties of a Surveillance Officer.
Observes activities of casino guests and employees.
Monitors all casino operations, including table games, slots, cashiering cage and count rooms, by way of the closed-circuit television (CCTV) system for criminal activity and/or violations of NJ regulations and company policies and procedures.
Records and documents such activities where appropriate and report the activities to appropriate officials.
Monitors property alarms and communicates effectively with responding parties.
Completes detailed incident reports and daily logs.
Responsible for daily operations of surveillance shift, in absence of shift supervisor.
Assists with training and mentoring of surveillance staff.
Promotes positive public relations.
Handles sensitive information and maintains confidentiality.
Keeps team well informed of property promotions and events.
Develops highly skilled, successful employees, sets realistic and measurable service standards, and holds employees accountable for meeting them.
Addresses employee performance issues, coaches for improvement, and provides ongoing feedback.
Listens and responds to employees, recognizes and rewards individual and team performance.
Consistently follows company policies, procedures, and industry regulations, maintains accurate and up-to-date employee records, and completes performance reviews timely.
Supervises and trains Surveillance Officers according to standard operating procedures.
