About The Position

GRI Engineering & Development, LLC, a member of MAT Holdings, Inc., is opening a new distribution center in Shannon, Mississippi, and is hiring for its warehouse team. The Shift Supervisor coordinates the activities of employees engaged in outbound shipping, including verifying and recording outgoing shipments and preparing items for shipment. The supervisor serves as an example to team members and enforces applicable safety rules.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of warehousing experience in a leadership role.
• Ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to track and resolve non-conforming products efficiently.
• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office.
• Efficiency with RF scanners.
• Must be able to obtain a forklift license through the company.
• Must be able to obtain PIT certification.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual English and Spanish speaking ability.

Responsibilities

• Review orders to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and equipment required to meet shipping schedules.
• Oversee outbound shipping activities to ensure fulfillment accuracy, completeness, and load condition.
• Lead the shift in efficient freight processing, including order picking, checking, and loading.
• Inspect material handling equipment for defects and notify maintenance personnel or contact an outside service facility for repairs.
• Ensure the accuracy of all work performed.
• Ensure adherence to and execution of standardized procedures.
• Maintain good housekeeping in the work area and follow established company safety policies at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
