Requirements

Two-year degree in maintenance or associated field; or two years industrial maintenance experience
Must be able to work scheduled/unscheduled overtime, weekends, nights and holidays
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (Nucor Steel Nebraska will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future)
Must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times

Nice To Haves

Experience with work order management systems such as IFS, Ross, or Similar CMMS Systems
Ability to read and understand drawings and schematics

Responsibilities

Day-to-day mechanical maintenance
Supporting production and other maintenance crews
Daily use of the CMMS system
Improving predictive and preventive maintenance
Eliminating downtime and waste
Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems
Welding
Rigging
Fabricating
Operating mobile equipment such as forklifts, cranes, manlifts, and scissor lifts
