About The Position
The Shift Manager role is described under the general description for Assistant Managers. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The position requires operating equipment; stocking ingredients; preparing products; handling telephone and in-person orders; taking inventory and completing paperwork; and cleaning equipment and the facility daily. The role also requires clear communication with customers and coworkers, accurate order entry using a computer keyboard or touchscreen, and the ability to perform basic arithmetic and make correct monetary change. Requirements
- At least 18 years old.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, with a calculator if needed.
- Ability to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen.
- Clean-cut and personable; outgoing and energetic; dependable, reliable, punctual, prompt, responsible, quick to learn, and self-motivated.
Responsibilities
- Operate all equipment.
- Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
- Prepare products.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and the facility daily.
- Communicate with customers and coworkers to process orders over the phone and in person.
- Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen.
