About The Position

The Delivery Driver role is part of a team responsible for greeting walk-in customers, taking delivery and carryout orders by phone, cleaning, and making deliveries. Drivers are expected to be hard-working, personable, friendly, punctual, and able to multitask. They must run, jog, or speed-walk to and from their cars on deliveries and navigate the designated delivery area, including adverse terrain, multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying products.

Orientation and training are provided on the job. Training includes going on the road and making deliveries with the store’s Certified Delivery Trainer. Drivers communicate with customers and coworkers in person and by phone, and use a touchscreen computer system to process orders.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a valid driver's license.
• Have valid auto insurance.
• Have a working vehicle.
• Have a good driving record.
• Be able to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers.
• Have a clear and upbeat speaking voice when communicating with customers by phone and at the door.
• Be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly.
• Have verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Have motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
• Have navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
• Be able to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying products.
• Be clean-cut, personable, outgoing, energetic, dependable, reliable, punctual, prompt, responsible, a quick learner, and self-motivated.
• Be able to run, jog, or speed-walk to and from the car on deliveries.
