About The Position

The Shift Manager oversees daily operations at IHOP Express at Treasure Valley Casino, ensuring exceptional service and a positive experience for guests and team members. This role supervises front-of-house and back-of-house activities, maintains compliance with company standards, develops team members, manages inventory, resolves guest concerns, and monitors performance metrics to improve efficiency and profitability. The position requires at least two years of supervisory experience in hospitality, beverage, or food service, and the ability to obtain Gaming and ABLE licenses. The work involves extended periods standing and walking in a high-volume environment, lifting and carrying objects up to 50 pounds, and exposure to moderate-to-high noise and a smoky environment.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must be able to obtain a Gaming license.
Must be able to obtain an ABLE license.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality, beverage, or food service industry.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to stand, walk, and work in a high-volume environment for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry moderate to heavy objects up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate staff activities during assigned shifts, including front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
Train and mentor team members to uphold service standards and deliver outstanding guest experiences.
Manage inventory by ordering and receiving supplies and monitoring stock levels.
Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally and promptly, working to resolve issues to the satisfaction of all parties.
Monitor performance metrics, including sales and labor costs, and implement strategies to optimize efficiency and profitability.
Maintain a professional appearance by adhering to the establishment's dress code.
