About The Position
The Shift Manager leads by example to support store operations, team performance, and exceptional guest experiences. The role provides direction, coaching, and support to team members; prepares and serves Auntie Anne’s products to brand quality standards; and ensures food safety, operational, and guest service standards are followed. The Shift Manager helps execute opening and closing procedures, monitors shift performance, addresses guest concerns, supports training, and maintains a clean, stocked, organized, and food-safe environment. The position requires dependable attendance, punctuality, teamwork, accountability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting. Flexible scheduling is offered for 20 to 40 hours per week. Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
- Availability to work at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) each week.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Commitment to punctuality and arriving prepared and ready to work at the scheduled shift start.
- Ability to proactively communicate scheduling conflicts, emergencies, or absences according to company policies.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to dependability, accountability, and teamwork.
- Ability to follow directions, procedures, and brand standards consistently.
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and remain active throughout a shift.
- Comfort working in warm and cold environments, including near ovens, prep areas, and walk-in coolers.
- Basic math skills and confidence using point-of-sale systems.
- Ability to taste-test products as part of quality-control processes.
- Strong communication, teamwork, leadership, and guest service skills.
- Current Food Handler Certification or ability to obtain it within 30 days of hire.
- Honesty, accountability, reliability, and willingness to learn and grow.
- TB clearance if applicable by location.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of food service, restaurant, retail, or supervisory experience preferred.
- Previous leadership, keyholder, or shift management experience is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
- Comfort using smartphones, tablets, and store technology systems.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with friendly, energetic, and professional service.
- Lead shifts and provide direction, coaching, and support to team members.
- Prepare, bake, and serve products according to brand recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure operational, food safety, and guest service standards are consistently met.
- Deliver accurate orders and a positive guest experience.
- Operate registers and handle cash, payments, and transactions responsibly and accurately.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, cash accountability, and shift execution.
- Monitor productivity and overall shift performance.
- Address guest concerns professionally and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Support training and development of new and existing team members.
- Maintain a clean, stocked, organized, and food-safe environment throughout the shift.
- Arrive on time, in proper uniform, and ready to work; maintain reliable attendance and follow call-out and scheduling procedures.
- Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and follow through with attention to detail.
- Support teammates during busy periods and work collaboratively to achieve store goals.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, loss prevention, and operational procedures.
- Demonstrate accountability, professionalism, and a positive attitude, and help foster teamwork, reliability, and respect.
