About The Position

The Shift Leader assists the Assistant Manager and General Manager with management activities and duties, ensuring all activities are consistent with and support the restaurant’s business plan. The Shift Leader ensures all Team Members are performing their job responsibilities and meeting all expectations in their job descriptions. Capstone Restaurant Group emphasizes people, hospitality, and integrity, and seeks team members who can provide guests with outstanding hospitality in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role helps maintain restaurant operations and supports the restaurant’s business plan during assigned shifts.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be willing to work flexible hours, including opening and closing shifts.
Must have reliable transportation and a method of communication with the restaurant, such as a phone or email.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Ability to maintain the respect of the team.

Responsibilities

Ensure hospitality service is outstanding by anticipating and exceeding guest needs and handling situations and requests promptly and positively.
Monitor all aspects of restaurant operations, anticipate problems, and take initiative to correct problem areas.
Enforce and maintain quality, service, and cleanliness standards.
Monitor and maintain appropriate staffing levels and labor costs.
Create a friendly atmosphere for Team Members and Guests.
Train, direct, and supervise Team Members effectively.
Support efforts to maximize sales and profits and minimize controllable costs.
Plan, organize, and implement operational routines and activities during the shift.
Maintain cooperative and harmonious working relationships with management and fellow Team Members.
Ensure sanitation, safety, and security policies and procedures are observed and enforced.
Meet company standards for personal appearance and display professionalism.
Follow HR, sanitation, safety, and security policies and procedures to provide a safe and compliant environment.
Perform other tasks as directed by management.
