About The Position

The Shift Manager - Table Games is responsible for implementing and ensuring compliance with approved policies and procedures while directing staff in accordance with company policies and objectives. This role ensures responsibilities and operating procedures are followed in accordance with all PlayLV’s Company standards, policies, and procedures. The Shift Manager is responsible for the efficient operation of all table games on a particular shift, as well as the training and equitable treatment of all casino staff. They promote positive guest relations and may be responsible for casino operations in the absence of management. The role involves creating a fun atmosphere for guests and fostering an environment where staff can share ideas, discuss concerns, and resolve conflicts. The Shift Manager encourages mutual respect, dignity, and integrity among staff by setting positive examples and retains staff through involvement in training and development. They are expected to explain procedures in advance and perform other duties as assigned. This job description is not exhaustive and the employee is expected to perform other duties necessary for the effective operation of the department.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members, and Management in both written and verbal form.
  • Superior customer relationship skills are necessary.
  • Ability to read and comprehend all documentation.
  • Ability to always communicate effectively with all levels of employees and guests.
  • Ability to interface effectively with the public and co-workers.
  • Neat, professional appearance with good personal hygiene.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to perform the manipulation of numbers and basic math calculations
  • Knowledge of all Nevada regulations, gaming laws, and PlayLV s internal controls, policies, and procedures pertinent to the job.
  • Ability to get a Nevada Gaming license and necessary work cards.
  • Minimum five years’ experience in casino games and operations with appropriate licensure and progressive supervisory experience.
