About The Position

Maintain a safe and secure environment for all guests, team members, and company assets. Oversee all Security activities and team members on assigned shift.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and welcoming attitude toward all external and internal guests at all times.
  • Interview and select new team members, and provide ongoing training and development to all department team members.
  • Issue performance reviews, disciplinary action, and termination as needed.
  • Create work schedules and assign work to Security Supervisors, Security Officers, and EMTs.
  • Maintain all records and provide status updates as needed regarding guest evictions, including records of eviction letter sent to guests.
  • Oversee and ensure compliance with all required training and certifications for all Security staff, including, but not limited to TIPS, and Missouri EMT.
  • Understand and ensure the progress of the strategic, long-term vision of the department.
  • Champion and assist with leading any and all major training projects.
  • Oversee all aspects of KeyWatcher system and/or other key control systems in use, including all related daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports and audits.
  • Maintain and operate AxTrax badge system and/or other badge or access systems in use.
  • Act as Incident Commander on property in the absence of the Security Manager during emergency situations.
  • Establish, maintain, and communicate emergency procedures.
  • Oversee emergency testing procedures and documentation of emergency testing.
  • Monitor staffing levels to ensure budgetary compliance, including management of overtime and FTE counts, and promote labor efficiency through strategic use of scheduling and managed overtime.
  • Handle management duties timely and in accordance with company policies, including, but not limited to, maintenance of employee database and appropriate use of manager self service system.
  • Actively champion and lead the cultural growth of the department.
  • Ensure Security department compliance with MGC regulations and internal controls, and fully and timely respond to all audit requests and findings.
  • Effectively use Market Metrix and/or any other guest surveys or feedback to measure the department’s success and identify areas of opportunity.
  • Provide for and reward the department’s See.Say.Smile. culture.
  • Investigate incidents and guest complaints and produce summary report of findings.
  • Review Security activities with Security Manager.
  • In the absence of the Security Manager, serve in that role.
  • Observe, identify, and appropriately address intoxicated guests.
  • Check for and report safety hazards.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality relative to financial information, company policies and procedures, and team member and guest information.
  • Produce and deliver reports as required.
  • Respond to all calls promptly and professionally.
  • Manage escalated situations involving guests, including intoxicated guests.
  • Have complete knowledge of all casino events and promotional activities.
  • Keep work area in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Ensure the safety and security of all guests and team members.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures established by Bally’s Kansas City Casino and departmental management.
  • Other duties as assigned or any reasonable request from any member of management.
