About The Position

Sundae is hiring a Shift Leader for its artisan ice cream retail team. The role leads a small team during a shift and helps provide welcoming, joyful customer service while maintaining product quality, portion control, cleanliness, and service standards. The position includes opening and closing tasks, food preparation, customer service, cash handling, and participation in staff meetings and cleaning tasks. The job is described as full-time and seasonal, with availability required throughout the summer season, approximately through 9/30/2026. Daytime and/or evening availability is needed; consistent scheduling is available. Total compensation averages $20.00–$25.00 per hour, including base pay and tips.

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Open the store promptly and efficiently, alone or with a team.
Prepare food items confidently and promptly while monitoring stock levels.
Communicate with and serve customers accurately and joyfully, demonstrating knowledge of products and service standards.
Handle cash responsibly and accurately complete closing cash-out procedures.
Model Sundae’s customer service standards and demonstrate pride and leadership in work.
Participate in staff meetings and team cleaning tasks.
Lead the team during shifts by setting an example for positive customer interactions, portion control, and cleanliness.
