Shift Lead - Brentwood Park
About The Position
DashMart is a local-fulfillment center owned and operated by DoorDash. It fulfills customer orders for household essentials, convenience, grocery, retail, and prepared foods in a brick-and-mortar warehouse for Dashers to deliver. As a Shift Lead, you support Site Management in operating shifts, delegating tasks, fulfilling orders, and maintaining inventory. Depending on the location, the role may also involve food preparation in a light-prep kitchen. You take responsibility for warehouse and kitchen processes, safety, cleanliness, quality, training, inventory, equipment, and other company assets. You guide Operations Associates, handle escalations, support customer order accuracy and smooth Dasher pickups, and contribute ideas to improve operations and customer experience. The work is active and physical, and requires flexibility to work shifts based on the hiring site's scheduling needs.
Requirements
- Self-motivated, positive, and a team player with high integrity and a strong customer-service orientation.
- Proven track record of success in food and beverage, warehouse, and/or retail environments.
- Ability to be on your feet and move heavy products; able to lift up to 50 lbs., depending on site needs, with or without accommodation.
- Ability to operate a pallet jack and hand truck.
- Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a food handling certificate; DoorDash provides the training.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Organized and proficient in Google Docs and Google Sheets.
- Schedule flexibility to be available for a number of different shifts each week, depending on the hiring site's needs.

- A college diploma is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of assigned shifts, including warehouse and kitchen processes, safety, cleanliness, quality, and training.
- Maintain accountability for inventory, equipment, and other company assets, ensuring they are properly handled, stored, and protected from loss or theft.
- Ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and with high quality; communicate with customers when issues arise and facilitate smooth Dasher pickups.
- Guide Operations Associates during shifts so the team works safely and productively, and serve as a point of escalation for daily operations.
- Support operations in both the warehouse and kitchen, assist with day-to-day tasks, and lead by example.
- Interact professionally and respectfully with team members and customers, helping maintain a positive and safe warehouse atmosphere.
- Contribute ideas to improve operations, quality, and customer experience.
