Thompson was founded in 1886 as an orphanage and has grown into an organization operating across the Carolinas, Florida, Tennessee, and Kentucky. Thompson’s continuum of care encompasses three domains: prevention, mental health services, and foster care. All Thompson programs are trauma-informed and evidence-based/evidence-informed with the intention of building resilience in our clients (ages 0-18) and their families, both virtually and in person. This role involves supporting the organization and delegation of day-to-day shift tasks, training new staff, communicating shift updates, and acting as a point person for shift-related communication. The ideal candidate will be proficient, punctual, open to feedback, contribute to a positive team culture, deliver excellent customer service, and conduct themselves with high ethical standards and emotional intelligence. They will represent the organization internally and externally, provide vigilant supervision of clients, engage youth in program activities, ensure the physical environment is clean and safe, and maintain documentation quality. The position requires working either 1st Shift (7am-7pm) or 2nd Shift (7pm-7am) on a rotating weekly schedule.
