Shift Lead (Kennel Technician/Day Care Attendant)
About The Position
Join a fun, fast-paced team of dog lovers in a hands-on, active environment. This role involves supervising and safely managing groups of dogs during playtime, monitoring their behavior and health, feeding them, assisting with medications, and cleaning play areas. You will also communicate with pet parents and support team operations. As a Shift Lead, you will lead a team of 6-8 staff members. This is a great opportunity for entry-level applicants who love working with animals, as training is provided for the right candidates. The schedule is 30-40 hours per week with flexible scheduling available.
Requirements
- Must love dogs and be comfortable with all breeds and sizes.
- Able to work in a fast-paced, active environment.
- Comfortable standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Open availability, including weekends and holidays.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with dogs (daycare, kennel, vet, grooming, or similar) preferred.
- Leadership experience preferred (training provided).
Responsibilities
- Supervise and safely manage groups of dogs during playtime.
- Monitor dog behavior, health, and interactions.
- Feed dogs and assist with medications as needed.
- Clean and sanitize play areas and cabins daily.
- Communicate with pet parents in a friendly, professional manner.
- Support team operations to keep shifts running smoothly.
