Support the agency mission by providing hope and healing to those impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and child maltreatment. This role involves using a trauma-informed, client-centered approach to provide a range of services including intake, assessment, case management, crisis intervention, safety planning, court education, information, and referrals. The advocate will ensure coordinated client care with community partners, maintain an advocacy caseload, and refer clients to community resources. Responsibilities also include assisting clients with goal development, documenting case information, and developing and delivering psycho-educational and supportive groups. The role also involves resolving residential conflicts and maintaining a safe environment. In administration, the advocate will maintain confidential client records in agency databases, manage grant reporting, and adhere to agency procedures for documentation and quality assurance. In stewardship, the advocate will increase awareness of victimization and resources through public speaking and media requests, participate in community meetings, and promote professional relationships. For professional development, the advocate will stay informed of best practices in trauma and victimization, maintain skills and knowledge through training, and ensure necessary certifications are up to date. Other duties as assigned.
