About The Position
The Shelter Advocate provides essential coverage and supervision of the shelter and is responsible for the welfare, safety, comfort, and daily support of shelter guests. The role also provides crisis intervention to callers seeking shelter, advice, or referrals. Churches United employees are expected to demonstrate the organization’s values and sensitivity to the diversity of its guest base.
Responsibilities
- Provide coverage and supervision of the shelter.
- Support the welfare, safety, and comfort of shelter guests.
- Provide daily support to shelter guests.
- Provide crisis intervention to callers seeking shelter, advice, or referrals.
