About The Position

Stockers manually place merchandise sold in commissaries onto appropriate shelves, displays, and into freezers and coolers to keep assigned areas fully stocked. The role requires meeting a stocking standard of 45 cases per hour for dry goods and 40 cases per hour for chilled and frozen goods; failure to meet this standard may result in disciplinary action or termination. Stockers clean shelves and related shelf components before stocking, transport merchandise from staging areas to store aisles using hand pallet jacks, and stock items in their allocated spaces according to shelf labels. They face and front merchandise, rotate products using First-In First-Out (FIFO), protect products from damage, separate damaged merchandise for disposition, break down cardboard, and return cases that do not fit on shelves to the warehouse. The position requires following box-cutter safety procedures and meeting the physical demands of regular lifting and movement of merchandise. Servtech encourages veterans, disabled veterans, and people with disabilities to apply, provides hiring preference to veterans and people with disabilities, and will make reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with known disabilities. The company states its commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equal employment opportunity.
