About The Position
DPP is seeking a Sheet Metal Production Mechanic III for an opportunity with our client in the Aerospace and Defense Manufacturing industry. This is an onsite role in Lake Charles, LA, with a duration of 12 months. The candidate must be able to work either Mon-Thurs 6:00 AM - 4:42 PM or Mon-Thurs 4:00 PM - 2:42 AM. This role requires US citizenship.
Requirements
- Ability to make sheet metal layouts, set up and operate fabricating machinery, shape metal over anvils, blocks, or forms.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair production sheet metal products and equipment such as control boxes, drainpipes, ventilators, and furnace casings in accordance with blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Make sheet metal layouts, set up and operate fabricating machinery, shape metal over anvils, blocks, or forms, operate welding and soldering equipment, and inspect assemblies and installations for conformance to specifications.
- May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
