About The Position
DPP is seeking a Sheet Metal Production Mechanic II for an opportunity with our client in the Aerospace and Defense Manufacturing industry. This is an onsite role in Lake Charles, LA, with a duration of 12 months. The position requires the ability to work either the Mon-Thurs 6:00 AM - 4:42 PM shift or the Mon-Thurs 4:00 PM - 2:42 AM shift. Candidates must be US Citizens.
Requirements
- Ability to make sheet metal layouts, set up and operate fabricating machinery, shape metal over anvils, blocks, or forms.
- Fiberglass experience.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair production sheet metal products and equipment such as control boxes, drainpipes, ventilators, and furnace casings in accordance with blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Make sheet metal layouts, set up and operate fabricating machinery, shape metal over anvils, blocks, or forms.
- Inspect assemblies and installations for conformance to specifications.
- May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
